About Us

Each season, over 5,000 beginner, intermediate and expert riders, ages seven to 74, compete in 32 separate age & discipline divisions in 31 regional series across the country. They are competing to earn a chance to participate in the world's lar

gest amature snowboard & freeski competition; USASA National Championships hosted by Copper Mountain in Colorado.

The USASA is where athletic dreams hit the snow. Just ask any member of the last Olympic team where they started their journey. They all got their start in USASA including Sage Kotsenburg, Shawn White, Jamie Anderson, Lindsey Jacobellis, Ryan Stassel, Ty Walker, Kelly Clark, Hannah Teter and many other past Olympian™s.

Kids, athletes, and adults compete at the regional level to earn points in the hopes of qualifying for USASA National Championships held annually at Copper Mountain in Colorado in April.  Some people compete to chase their Olympic or Pro dreams; and  some just compete for fun!

About the Midwest Best Series: (established in 2004)

My name is Dana Wilson.  I am the USASA Series Director for the Midwest Best Series. Together with my husband, we hold a series of weekend USASA sanctioned competitions at Alpine Valley Resort and Devil's Head Resort in Wisconsin. It is our mission to host fun and fair events for all ages, to attract snowboarders and freeskiers, promote their development, provide member education, and influence the future of our sports. Brian and I feel proud and honored to be able to offer this opportunity to athletes, young and old, in the midwest.

Come out and join us for a weekend of fun and competition and start making your dreams a reality.
